misk istanbul:

a must-visit

floral café

words & photos by dilara

Up until a couple of years ago, Emirgan was one of those streets where you just passed through to go somewhere else, but now it is one of the most frequented ones around Sarıyer. Misk Istanbul Café / Florist is one of the reasons for this hype. If you are in Istanbul and browsing Instagram's explore page, it is impossible not to see a photo taken in Misk Istanbul.

In the end, we also couldn't ignore the beautiful ambience and photos, hopped into the car and headed towards Emirgan. After passing the breathtaking view of Emirgan Park, we reached to Reşitpaşa and the recent busy street.

Because it is both a cafe and a florist, a wave of floral scents hits you as soon as you enter the store, fitting the name: Misk -musk in English and it is an aromatic substance used in perfumes. Being designed as a spacious venue covered in pastel hues makes Misk perfect for instagrammers.

Each corner is decorated with meticulous care to details and has different concepts. There is a bar corner where you can have something nice to drink, or you can just chill in the comfy chairs surrounded with a tropical theme, or you can have lunch in the sort of communal table which is also great for a luncheon meeting.

The menu has also the recent favourite coffee-not-so-coffee options like the pinkish/reddish beetroot latte or ginger latte. These usually taste terrible but here it is actually good. If you already have your cup of daily caffeine or not so much of a coffee person, the Melez Tea and their delicious tea selection are also available in the menu. The croissant is also good.

We left the cafe with a full memory on our phones, a full stomach with delicious coffee, and fully content. Now here we come instagram!
